Location And accessibility

The Zuidelijke Randweg has been built especially to optimise access to the industrial estates in this part of Zaanstad. This is the most important access road for HoogTij. Via the Zuidelijke Randweg you are able to reach the A5, A7, A8, A9 and A10 quickly. Access to HoogTij has been greatly improved with the building of the Second Coen Tunnel. The old Coen Tunnel is currently being renovated. In 2014 both the old and the new tunnel will be in full use, which will further improve access.
The NS station Zaandam is located 10 minutes away. The IJmuiden locks, Schiphol and other vital elements of the metropolitan region of Amsterdam are located close by. This makes HoogTij a highly accessible location for setting up business.

Acreage

The total area of the site is 130 ha gross and 110 ha net. 97 ha is still available for allocation.
The 'wet' area of HoogTij covers 27 hectares and is located directly adjacent to the deep water of the North Sea Canal. Companies operating in environmental categories 3.1 up to and including 5.1 can establish themselves here. The location of the North Sea Canal offers the possibility of deep-sea transhipment over a length of 950 metres using self-installed loading and unloading facilities.
The 'dry' area has 83 hectares available for allocation and offers space for companies operating in environmental categories 3.1 up to and including 4.2.
The plots are not yet fixed, which means that the allotment of land can be adapted to the buyer's requirements. Sustainability, landscape and architectural quality play an important role in the development of the site.
